2026 Autism Awareness Month
For many families, autism awareness isn’t something that happens once a year.
It’s something they live with every day.
Some days are easier than others. Some families are past the season of constant meltdowns, while others end the day wondering if they have the energy to start again tomorrow. We still experience both on occasion.
Living alongside someone with autism changes how you see the world.
It changes how you define success.
It changes how you measure strength.
And it changes how you see the people around you.
Over time we’ve learned that acceptance isn’t just about awareness or acknowledgement. It’s about how we live alongside one another.
It means assuming the best in people instead of the worst.
Showing grace even when we don’t fully understand someone’s situation.
And recognizing that every person has value — even when their life doesn’t look like our life.
You don’t have to know someone with autism to be part of that change.
Through Trent’s drawings, the world has been invited to see the person that continues to shape the people around him.
